ABOUT THE GAME

Escape Shadows is a unique puzzle-platformer that merges 3D and 2D mechanics to deliver an innovative shadow-based gameplay experience. Developed as a final term project for the Advanced Game Development course at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), this game demonstrates technical mastery and creativity in Unity.Players explore two distinct gameplay modes:

Object Mode: Rotate and move 3D objects to cast shadows, shaping them into traversable platforms.

Player Mode: Navigate the shadow platforms as a player character, overcoming obstacles to progress from left to right in a 2D platforming environment.

Featuring three handcrafted levels, Escape Shadows serves as both a fun puzzle-platformer and a showcase of advanced Unity mechanics, including custom shadow colliders and reverse-engineered gameplay systems.
